‘Haze’, produced by olywok, is a collection of ambient / experimental music created around field recordings from 2022.

These field recordings were tracked on a three week road trip from Boorloo / Perth to Rubibi / Broome. The recordings explore the natural sounds of the lands of the Jinigudera people (Exmouth), Yawuru people (Broome), Banjima, Kurrama and Innawonga people (Karijini).

'Haze' is a product of the scenery and sound experienced by olywok. The recordings of the natural sounds have been layered, manipulated and effected to create a composition that will induce relaxation and space for reflection.

The music for 'Haze' was then written on Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. We acknowledge Country, the Traditional Custodians and the Elders of these lands, past, present, and future.

All proceeds from the bandcamp release of 'Haze' will be donated to - www.remoteopshopproject.org
